We are delighted to announce that Dr. K. Eric Drexler will be our keynote speaker at INASCON 2017.
Dr. Drexler is a Research Fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute, University of Oxford, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Oxford Martin School.
Frequently described as the “founding father of nanotechnology”, Eric Drexler first introduced the concept of using molecular-scale machinery in order to structure matter from the bottom-up with his 1986 book Engines of Creation: The Coming Era of Nanotechnology, reaching a broad audience. His 1981 paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences established fundamental principles of molecular engineering and identified development paths leading to advanced nanotechnologies. Dr. Drexler’s research in the field of nanotechnology describes application and implementation of nanotechnology and its potential in solving large-scale global challenges.
Dr. Drexler is one of the most innovative thinkers in nanotechnology and we greatly look forward to welcoming him to INASCON 2017 this August.
